City of Riverside Dates for Run-Off Elections, Measure G (June 2012)
If Measure G had been approved, it would have moved any required municipal runoff elections to August of municipal election years.
A simple majority was required for approval.
- These final results are from the Riverside County elections office.
The editorial board of the Press Enterprise opposed Measure F. They wrote, "No. Moving city runoff elections to August would cost taxpayers and favor incumbents."
The question on the ballot:
|MEASURE G: "Shall the Charter of the City of Riverside be amended to provide that if in the June election for City Council, no candidate for City Council receives a majority of the total votes cast, that the runoff election be held on the last Tuesday in August instead of on the first Tuesday in November?"|
