A City of South El Monte Change in Length of Mayoral Terms, Measure SE ballot question was on the November 3, 2009 ballot for voters in the City of South El Monte in Los Angeles County, where it was approved.

Measure SE changed the term of office for the mayor of the City of El Monte from two years to four years. Members of the El Monte City Council already had four year terms.

In 1999, voters in the city moved to "direct popular vote" method of electing the city's mayor. Prior to 1999, the mayor was chosen by the city council from among the city council members to serve a one-year term.

The November 2011 election was the first time that a mayor was elected to the new four-year term instituted by Measure SE.
