Levy is an attorney with her own firm, the Claire B. Levy Limited Liability Company. She served as Assistant County Attorney of Jefferson County from 1989-1999, Associate with Buchan, Gray, Purvis, and Scheutze from 1986-1989, and Deputy Public Defender in the Colorado State Public Defender's Office from 1983-1986.[1]
Issues
Levy provided answers to the Colorado State Legislative Election 2008 Political Courage Test. The test provides voters with how a candidate would vote on the issues if elected. When asked his legislative priorities she stated, "Energy efficiency programs for utilities, Universal health care, Increasing transit oriented development and increasing state support for public transportation."[2]

Levy won re-election in the 2012 election for Colorado House of Representatives District 13. She ran unopposed in the June 26, 2012, Democratic primary. She defeated Adam Ochs (R) and Howard Lambert (L) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[3][4]

Levy ran for re-election to the 13th District seat in 2010. She had no opposition in the August 10 primary. Levy defeated Robert E. Houdeshell (R) in the November 2 general election.
