Cleon Township Cemetery Levy Renewal (August 2012)
This measure sought to renew the current cemetery levy which is set at a rate of $.25 per $1,000 of assessed value for a further five years in order to continue to pay for cemetery maintenance and operational costs in the township. It was approved.

The question on the ballot:
|Shall Cleon Township, Manistee County, Michigan renew the expired previous voted increases in the tax limitations imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution of 0.25 mills ($0.25 per $1,000 of taxable value), be renewed and levied for 5 years, 2012 through 2016 inclusive, for cemetery operating purposes; if approved, it is estimated that the revenue generated by this proposal in the first year the millage is levied would be $7,150.00?|
