Cliff Moone is a 2014 Democratic candidate for District 96 of the North Carolina House of Representatives.

Biography

Moone graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill and Southeastern Southern Baptist Seminary. His professional experience includes serving as pastor of Church of the Master and Greater Shekinah Glory Church, as the first Headmaster of Hickory Christian Academy from 1997 to 2001, as the Director of Education at Sylvan Learning Center from 2005 to 2010 and as a part-time instructor at Catawba Valley Community College.[1]

Elections for the office of North Carolina House of Representatives will take place in 2014. A primary election took place May 6, 2014. The general election will take place on November 4, 2014. The signature-filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 28, 2014. Cliff Moone was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Jay Adams defeated Joe Fox, Frank Willis and Wrappar Kellett in the Republican primary. Kellett withdrew from the race before the primary but remained on the ballot. Moone and Adams will face off in the general election.[2][3]

Moone ran in the 2012 election for North Carolina House of Representatives District 96. He ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on May 8, 2012. Moone was defeated by Andy Wells (R) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[4][5]
