A Clyman Town Clerk Appointment Question was on the November 2, 2010 ballot in the town of Clyman, which is in Dodge County.

This measure was defeated

  • YES 122 (39.35%)
  • NO 188 (60.65%)Defeatedd[1]

This measure asked voters if they wanted the town clerk to be appointed by the town board instead of being elected by residents. This issue was brought forward because if the clerk leaves their position before their term ends, it must be filled by a towns person, but if it is appointed by the board then they could choose someone outside of the town. The appointed position would not have a term limit and would remain in the post until they choose to leave or the board wishes to replace them.[2]
