Coachella Utility Users Tax, Measure M (November 2009)

A City of Coachella Utility Users Tax was on the November 3, 2009 ballot in Riverside County for voters in the City of Coachella, where it was defeated.[1]
The new tax, if it had been approved, would have been assessed on electricity, gas, water, sewer, cable TV and refuse hauling. The city estimated that it would have gained $1.2 million in new tax revenue if the new tax was approved.
