Coconino County is one of 15 counties in Arizona. It is located in the north central part of the state, and its county seat is Flagstaff.

It is part of the Flagstaff, Arizona Metropolitan Statistical Area. According to the 2010 Census, the population is 134,421.[1] The 2006 estimated population was 125,000. It is the second largest county by land area in the 48 continguous United States, behind San Bernardino County, California.

Coconino County contains Grand Canyon National Park, the Havasupai Nation, and parts of the Navajo Nation, Hualapai Nation, and Hopi Nation. It takes its name from Cosnino, a name applied to the Havasupai.

Coconino County was the setting for George Herriman's early 20th century Krazy Kat comic strip.
