Coloma School District Bond Measures, 2 (May 2012)
Both measures were approved
The first measure sought to issue a bond in the amount of $14.3 million in order to help pay for furnish, equip, remodel and upgrade technology throughout the district as well as upgrade athletic facilities and purchase new buses.
The second measure sought to issue a bond in the amount of $5.58 million in order to update the high school auditorium, cafeteria and kitchen as well as make additions to the high school as needed.[1]

The question on the ballot:
| Proposal 1: Shall Coloma Community Schools, Berrien and Van Buren Counties, Michigan, borrow the sum of not to exceed Fourteen Million Three Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($14,330,000) and issue its general obligation unlimited tax bonds therefore, for the purpose of: erecting, furnishing, and equipping additions to, and partially remodeling, furnishing and refurnishing, equipping and re-equipping school facilities; acquiring, installing, and equipping instructional technology for school facilities; constructing, equipping, developing and improving athletic facilities, play fields and playgrounds; purchasing school buses; and developing and improving sites?
Proposal 2: Shall Coloma Community Schools, Berrien and Van Buren Counties, Michigan, borrow the sum of not to exceed Five Million Five Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($5,580,000) and issue its general obligation unlimited tax bonds therefore, for the purpose of: partially remodeling, furnishing and refurnishing, equipping and re-equipping the Coloma High School's auditorium and visual arts areas, cafeteria, and kitchen; erecting, furnishing and equipping additions to Coloma High School, in part for a new entrance, office space and expansion of the fitness and weight room; and developing and improving the site? |
