The Colorado Civil Service Preferences for Veterans and Widows Amendment, also known as Measure 4, was on the November 7, 1944 ballot in Colorado as an initiated constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure provided preference to honorably discharged veterans and their widows in the civil service by giving such persons extra points in civil service exams.[1]
