The Colorado Old Age Pensions Amendment, also known as Measure 5, was on the November 5, 1940 ballot in Colorado as an initiated constitutional amendment, where it was defeated. The measure would have provided for a guaranteed old age pension of $30 per month to residents of the state over 65 years old.[1]
