Colorado Lottery Operation (2008)

The Lottery Operation initiative or Initiative 28 is an initiated constitutional amendment that would provide that a portion of each lottery program (whether or not it was state funded) would be set aside each fiscal quarter to ensure the continual running of the lottery program. The initiative would also create a Colorado Lottery Operating Concession Board as an independent and temporary board within the government of the state.[1]

Proponents
The proponents listed on the measure include: Arthur Lee Guerrero (Golden-CO), Marvin L. Meyers (Denver-CO), and Ralph Bozella (Longmont-CO).
Status
The initiative was reviewed by the Legislative Legal Services and the Legislative Council who found that some of the language was unclear and that the initiative violated the single-subject rule.[2]
