The Colorado Senate is the upper house of the Colorado General Assembly, which is the state legislature of Colorado. The senate includes 35 state senators elected from single-member districts. Each of the 35 districts, as of the 2000 census, had a population of about 123,000.

State senators are elected to 4-year terms, and are subject to a term limits of two consecutive terms in office.

The Colorado Senate convenes at the State Capitol in Denver.

The 2009 legislative session of the Sixty-seventh General Assembly convened on January 7, 2009.
