A Columbia County Sheriff Levy Addition measure was on the May 17, 2011 ballot in Columbia County.

This measure sought to add to the current property tax by a rate of $.62 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a period of four years in order to help pay for new police officers in the county sheriff's office. Sheriff officers noted that the tax increase was needed because there was not enough funds to pay for additional officers which are needed to ensure safety throughout the county.[2]
