The Columbia elementary school bond, Measure D ballot proposition appeared on the November 4, 2008 ballot in Shasta County, California for voters in the Columbia elementary school district. It was defeated.

To pass, it needed a supermajority vote of 55% of those voting in the election.

Measure D authorized a $9.5 million bond.

  • Yes: 2,518 votes (54.09)
  • No: 2,137 votes (45.91%)

Comparison

Altogether, there were 95 school bond measures on the November 4 ballot across California. Of the 95, just eight were defeated. Measure D is one of the eight that was defeated.
