A Community Library District Levy Addition measure was on the August 7, 2012 ballot in the community library district area, which is in Shiawassee County.

This measure sought to add to the current district levy by a rate of $.70 per $1,000 of assessed value for a period of twofour years in order to pay for fund the library services offered in the district area. It was approved.

Shall the limitation on general ad valorem taxation within the Community District Library District imposed under Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution be increased for the Community District Library by up to seven-tenths (0.7000) of one mill ($0.7000 per $1,000 of taxable value) for a period of four (4) years, beginning in the year 2012, and continuing through the year 2015, inclusive, subject to reduction as provided by law, on taxable property in the Community District Library District, which includes the entire geographic boundaries of the Township of Burns, the Charter Township of Caledonia, the City of Corunna, the Township of Hazelton, the Township of Perry, the Township of Shiawassee, the Township of Venice, and the City of Perry?[1]
