Residents in Park City attempting to vote early were disturbed to be told the computers had them listed as already voting.[1] A computer glitch was said to have caused the confusion, but Summit County Chief Deputy Clerk Ryan Cowley assures voters it has been fixed.

Provisional ballots

One resident, Mary Cook, became concerned when she tried to vote early and was told by poll workers she could not vote twice. When Cook insisted there was an error, she was advised to cast a provisional ballot. However, Cook said the workers did not tell the voters that provisional ballots require name, address, and identification information in order to be valid.

She stated, "I wouldn't want people to think it's voter fraud. It suggests to me a training gap. It's a systemic issue with equipment and training."[1] Despite the frustration, Cook cast a provisional ballot. She is one of the 2,300 Summit County residents who have already chose to vote early.
