Connecticut's 3rd congressional district is located in the south central portion of the state along the Long Island Sound. Millford, Orange, Branford, Guillford, Durham, Middletown, Wallingford, Hamden, Seymour, Naugatuck, Bethany, and Prospect counties are included in the new district boundaries. [1]
The district previously included the city of New Haven and its suburbs, as well as surrounding areas.
The current representative of the 3rd congressional district is Rosa DeLauro (D).

2012
The 3rd congressional district of Connecticut held an election for the U.S. House of Representatives on November 6, 2012. Incumbent Rosa DeLauro won the election in the district.[2]

2010
On November 2, 2010, Rosa DeLauro won re-election to the United States House of Representatives. She defeated Jerry Labriola, Jr.(R), Charles A. Pillsbury (G), and Boaz Itshaky (I) in the general election.[3]
