Connecticut AG candidates set debate date
HARTFORD, Connecticut: The two major party candidates in the race for State Attorney General have set Thursday, September 23, 2010 as their first one-on-one debate. The University of Connecticut Law School will play host to the event that will have Republican nominee Martha Dean and George C. Jepsen, the Democratic candidate in the race, discuss the issues that most affect voters. Both candidates are seeking to replace Richard Blumenthal, the current AG who, rather then campaign for re-election, is seeking the United States Senate seat being vacated by retiring Democrat Chris Dodd.
