Brennan's professional experience includes working as a Nelson County Supervisor and retired nurse practitioner. He graduated from Sorenson Institute, University of Virginia, University of Virginia School of Nursing, and Virginia Commonwealth University.

2011
Brennan ran for election to the District 59 seat of the Virginia House of Delegates. She won the Democratic caucus and was opposed by Matt Fariss (R) and Linda Wall (I) in the November 8 general election. Fariss defeated Brennan and Wall in the general election.[1]
