A Coshocton City School District Levy Renewal measure was on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the Coshocton city school district area which is in Coshocton County.

This measure was approved

  • YES 2,147 (62.59%)Approveda
  • NO 1,283 (37.41%)[1]

This measure sought to renew the current school levy which is set at a rate of 4.9 mills for a further five years in order to continue to pay for current expenses in the school district.[2] School officials noted that the money was needed to ensure that there would not be a budget deficit for the coming years and that school programs would still be offered for students. If the measure had not been approved, school officials stated that more students would be in classes, teacher wages would be frozen and other positions being eliminated. They also noted that this was not additional money, but just renewing the current levy which residents already pay.[3]
