Craig Sorrell Pittman is a judge on the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals, a position to which he was first elected in November 2000. He was re-elected in 2006 and 2012 and his current term expires in 2018.
Pittman clerked for Judge Virgil Pittman in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Alabama from 1981-1983. He practiced law in Mobile with the law firm of Hamilton, Butler, Riddick, Tarlton and Sullivan from 1983-1986, and in 1986, started the law firm which became Pittman, Pittman, Carwie and Fuquay.
Pittman has served as Deputy Attorney General and General Counsel for the Alabama State Docks during the Fob James Administration.

In his 2006 race for re-election to the court, Pittman ran against Democratic candidate Kimberly Drake. Pittman won 608,180 votes versus 543,644 votes for Drake.
