Crestwood School District borrowing referendum, 2009

The Crestwood School District borrowing referendum was a ballot measure on the February 3, 2009 ballot in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, where it was defeated.[1]
The measure asked voters whether or not the district should borrow, at most, $55,750,000, according to the question, “for the purposes of financing,” additions at the high school. If enacted, the measure would have allowed the district to borrow the money, would only be allowed to use the money for the high school. Otherwise, voters would have to approved of the newly proposed use.[2]
