D.A. Gautreaux (b. December 12, 1947) is a Democratic member of the Louisiana Senate, representing District 21.
Education
Gautreaux attended Nicholls State University.
Professional experience
Gautreaux served in the United States Navy from 1968 to 1972. He then worked in tire sales from 1972 to 1976. From 1996 to 2000 he was Vice President of Marketing for Marsianin, Limited Liability Company Industrial Contractors. He is currently owner of a retail home appliance and electronics store.
Political experience
Gautreaux served in the Louisiana State House of Representatives from 1996 to 2000. He joined the Louisiana State Senate in 2000. He has served in that position since, representing the 21st district.
