Swinton was opposed in the Democratic primary on June 12 by incumbent Chandra Dillard, but was disqualified as a result of a May 2 Supreme Court decision.[1]
2010
Swinton was a Democratic candidate for the District 24 in the South Carolina House of Representatives in the November 2, 2010 state legislative elections. He was defeated by incumbent Bruce Bannister (R) in the November 2 general election.[2]
