Johnson has sat on the board of directors of a number of organizations, including Ellis County Extension, Ellis County Farm Bureau, Ellis County Historical Society, Friends of Historic Fort Hays, Kansas Livestock Association, and Trego County Rural Water District 2.[1]
Policy Positions
Johnson refused to take Project Vote Smart's 2008 Political Courage Test. The test, which is administered to all candidates for presidential, congressional, gubernatorial, and state legislative offices, asks one central question - "Are you willing to tell citizens your positions on the issues you will most likely face on their behalf?"[2]

2010
Johnson ran for re-election to the 110th District Seat in 2010 with no opposition. In the August 3rd primary election, Johnson defeated Republican primary opponents Robert Miller and Mark Schulte by margins of 1,818 to 1,054 and 1,818 to 1,731 respectively. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.
2008
On November 4, 2008, Johnson was re-elected to the 110th District Seat in the Kansas House of Representatives with no opposition. [4] He raised $13,456 for his campaign. [5]
