Pabon earned his BSME in Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2001. He went on to receive his JD from the University of Colorado School of Law in 2005.

Pabon won re-election in the 2012 election for Colorado House of Representatives District 4. He ran unopposed in the June 26, 2012, Democratic primary. He defeated David William Dobson (R) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[1][2]
