Dan Truitt has been a Republican member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives since 2011, representing District 156. He was first elected in 2010, with his term expiring in 2012.

He worked at General Electric while attending school in order to pay for his tuition. After working in the industry and earning his degrees, he started his own business, Truitt Engineering.

Truitt earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Villanova University, and his M.S. in Computer Science from West Chester University.
