Biography
Prior to obtaining her law degree, Murphy worked as a geologist for 10 years. Afterwards she served for nearly 6 years as an administrative law judge at the OCC. She owned and operated a private law firm focused on oil and gas title, regulatory practice and transactional work.[1]

Murphy has served as a member of the Oklahoma Corporation Commission since 2008. She served as the commission's chair from January 3, 2011 to July 31, 2012.[1]
