Daniel J. Burke (b. December 17, 1951) is a Democratic member of the Illinois House of Representatives, representing District 1 since 2013. Burke represented District 23 from 1991 until 2013. Burke currently serves as Majority Conference Chair.

Burke previously served as a Deputy City Clerk in Chicago.[1] After leaving city hall, he and Terry Cornell set up the Burke Cornell Consulting Company. Burke has stated that he stopped lobbying in 2009, but is still a registered lobbyist with six companies.[2]

Burke won re-election in the 2012 election for Illinois House of Representatives District 1. Burke was unopposed in the March 20 Democratic primary and was unopposed in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[3][4][5]

Burke won re-election to the 23rd District Seat in 2010 with no opposition. He defeated Rudy Lozano (4,014 votes), Rene Diaz (233 votes), and Martin Meza-Zavala (154 votes) in the Democratic primary on February 2nd. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.[6]
