This measure was an advisory question and will ask if open burning in the village should be prohibited.[2] If the measure is approved, the village council would ultimately decide what would be done with the refuse which is currently being burned in the village such as leaves and landscape waste. Those opposed to burning note that the issue is about a clean healthy environment for residents, especially children. Those in favor of burning though state that the programs to remove waste which is currently burned could be costly to the village.[3]
