Ghorbani ran in the 2012 election for North Dakota House District 30. Ghorbani and Tom Decker ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on June 12. They were defeated by Diane Larson and incumbent Mike Nathe in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]
