Darrell Hanson is a former member of the Iowa Utilities Board. He was first appointed to fill a vacancy on the board by Gov. Chet Culver on November 9, 2007.[1] He left office on April 30, 2013 and was succeeded by ex-state Rep. Nick Wagner.[2][3]

Biography

Hanson served as a member of the Iowa House of Representatives from 1979 to 1994. During this time he also taught economics and American history at Upper Iowa University and political science at the University of Northern Iowa. In 1995, he was Senior Director of Transportation and Economic Development for the Iowa Northland Regional Council of Governments based in Waterloo, and from 1996 to 2007, he was the County Extension Education Director for the Iowa State University Extension office in Delaware County. Hanson was named to fill a vacancy on the Iowa Utilities Board in 2007 and left office on April 30, 2013.[1]
