David Braswell was a Republican member of the Arizona State Senate, serving for the year 2010 after his appointment due to a vacancy made by Pamela Gorman in 2010.

Braswell earned his B.S. in Education from Western Carolina University. He went on to receive his Master's in Education in Administration in 1986 from the University of North Carolina.

Braswell worked as an elementary reading teacher for six years, as a principal for nine years, and as a superintendent for four years. He currently works as CEO and co-founder of UpSlope Solutions.

Braswell lost to Lori Klein in the August 24 Republican primary by a margin of 10,846-8,324. Klein faced Pat Flickner (D) in the general election on November 2, 2010.


Braswell was appointed to the Arizona State Senate, District 6. He was not elected to the position. His district is up for election in 2010.
