David Mejlas was a Working Families Party candidate for District 6 of the New York State Senate. The primary election was on September 14, 2010, and the general election was on November 2.

Mejlas lost to Francesca Carlow in the Democratic primary on September 14. However, Mejlas ran unopposed in the Working Families Party primary, and thus has qualified for the general election. Mejlas was defeated by incumbent Kemp Hannon (R) on November 2.[1]
