David Mitchell was a 2012 Democratic candidate for District 20 of the South Dakota House of Representatives.

Mitchell was initially barred from the ballot over technical problems with his petition. However, he was added to the ballot by a state judge on May 25.[1]

Mitchell ran in the 2012 election for South Dakota House of Representatives District 20. Mitchell ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on June 5 and was defeated in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[2]
