Nathan won re-election in the 2012 election for Michigan House of Representatives District 8. He defeated Sherry Gay-Dagnogo, Mia Grillier, Taryn Jones, and Ramon Patrick in the August 7 Democratic primary and defeated David Porter in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]
