David Vinzant was a 2012 Democratic candidate for District 3 of the Indiana State Senate. Vinzant was defeated by Earline Rogers in the Democratic primary on May 8, 2012.[1]

Vinzant was born and raised in Hobart, Indiana.[2]

Vinzant is the founder and President of Hobart, Indiana based Vinzant Software, a local technology company.[2] He is in his second term as Hobart City Councilman.[2]

Vinzant ran in the 2012 election for Indiana State Senate District 3. He ran against incumbent Earline S. Rogers and Darren L. Washington in the Democratic primary on May 8, 2012, with Earline Rogers winning the primary.[1] No candidates filed to run in the Republican primary. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[3]
