Debbie Regala is a Washington state senator, currently serving the 27th district.[1] She has occupied her senate seat since 2000 and is a member of the Democratic Party.

Education

Regala earned her BA in Foreign Language/Education from the University of Puget Sound in 1968.

Professional experience

Regala is a coordinator for an Environmental Restoration Project.

Political experience

Regala served in the Washington State House of Representatives from 1995 to 2000. He has served in the Washington State Senate since 2001. In 2003 he served as Assistant Democratic Floor Leader in the senate. He then served as Majority Whip from 2005 to 2008.

Debbie is married to Leo Regala. They have three children and two grandchildren.
