Standiford ran in the 2012 election for Arkansas House of Representatives District 38. Standiford ran unopposed in the May 22 Libertarian primary, and was defeated by Democrat Patti Julian in the general election. Other candidates Republican Dean DiMichele, and Independent Billy Laman also ran in the general election on November 6, 2012.[1][2]
