There was a Decatur Sunday Alcohol Sales measure on the April 13 ballot in the city of Decatur which is in both Morgan and Lawrence Counties.

This measure was approved with 63% in favor.[1]

This measure was brought to a special referendum vote in order to get more people to the polls in April to vote on a Decatur change of government. This measure though asked residents if they felt that alcohol should be allowed to be sold on Sundays within the city. By putting the two issues to vote on the same day, the city council also argued that it would save money.[2] This was a non-binding question and since it was approved, it will still need a referendum to be passed by the mayor and city council in order to be enacted into law.[3]
