There was a Desoto School District Bond Measure on the April 6 ballot in Crawford County and Vernon County for voters in the Desoto school district area.

This measure was approved

  • YES 638 Approveda
  • NO 530[1]

This measure sought to create a bond in the amount of $2,585,000 which would be used for renovations and improvements in various school buildings throughout the district.[2] School officials were pushing hard for the passage of this measure, this school district had not had any building money since it was built. But the school district saw this as a no option vote, the district schools are in need of repairs and upgrades. The district is also applying for federal money in order to keep costs lower to residents in the area.[3]
