Dewey Bartlett recall, Tulsa, Oklahoma (2010)

An effort to recall Dewey Bartlett from his position as Mayor of Tulsa, Oklahoma, is underway as of February 2010.

Recall organizers are allegedly upset with Bartlett because he used public employee layoffs, pay cuts and demotions to balance the city's books.

3,300 signatures, or 5% of the vote cast for mayor in the November 2008 mayoral election, must be collected as initial signatures, followed by about 16,000 more signatures.
