A Dinosaur Town Marijuana Dispensary Question was on the November 2, 2010 ballot in the town of Dinosaur, which is in Moffat County.

This measure was defeated meaning dispensaries will not be allowed in the county.

  • YES 45
  • NO 64 Defeatedd[1]

This measure asked town residents if marijuana dispensaries, manufacturing of marijuana products and cultivation operations should be allowed within the town limits.[2] Though the town council was not unanimous in its decision to put this to a vote, the majority felt that even if they did not want dispensaries in the town the people should have the final word on it. A dispensary tried to open in the town in June, but failed to get the needed approval but it did bring this issue to the front of the council's agenda. While the mayor of the town felt that they would be beneficial to bring in new jobs, his official position was neutral. Feelings among the residents showed that a majority seemed in favor of allowing dispensaries in the town.[3]
