Davis ran in the 2012 election for North Carolina State Senate District 12. Incumbent David Rouzer,(R), is running for a congressional seat. Davis advanced to a runoff where he was defeated by Ronald Rabin.[1] The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3]
