Biography
Before joining the Public Utility Commission, Nelson served in the Governor's Office as a "special assistant and advisor on energy, telecommunications and cable budget and policy issues." She helped the Governor's Competitiveness Council prepare the Texas 2008 Energy Plan. Nelson is a former assistant attorney general of Texas. Nelson is a former assistant attorney general of Texas, where she specialized in antitrust law. Early in her career, she was a member of the Texas Council on Autism and Pervasive Developmental Delays.[1]
