Doris Matsui (b. September 25, 1944) is a Democratic member of the U.S. House representing California's 5th congressional district. Matsui was first elected to the House in 2005 in a special election to fill the vacancy caused by the death of her husband, Bob Matsui.

Matsui is running for re-election in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing California's 6th District as a Democrat. She was displaced from her current district, the 5th by redistricting.[1] The open primary will be held on June 5, 2012.

She is running against Joseph McCray, Sr. (R) and Erik Smitt (R) in the June 5, 2012, open primary.[6]

On November 2, 2010, Matsui won re-election to the United States House. She defeated Paul A. Smith and Gerald Allen Frink in the general election.[7]
