On October 22, 2011, Hill won re-election to District 61 of the Louisiana House of Representatives. She defeated John Arthur Williams (I) in the October 22 primary. Because Louisiana uses a blanket primary system, a candidate can be declared the overall winner of the seat by garnering 50 percent +1 of the vote in the primary.

Hill said that she helped to bring over $136 million to District 32 during her first term, explaining, “It’s important that our district is represented well during the capital outlay process and the grant process. It’s capital that drives the economic engine for our area."[2]
