Douglas Racine (b. October 7, 1952) has been a Democratic member of the Vermont Senate since 2007 and from 1983 to 1992, representing Chittendon County.
Education
Racine earned his BA from Princeton University in 1974.
Professional experience
Racine worked as a legislative assistant for Senator Patrick Leahy. He is currently the Vice President of Willie-Racine Jeep/Eagle/Izuzu, Incorporated.
Political experience
Racine served in the Vermont State Senate on two different occasions, the first from 1983 to 1992, and the second from 2007 to the present. He was the President Pro-Tempore for the senate from 1989 to 1992. He also served as the Lieutenant Governor for Vermont from 1996 to 2002. He currently represents Chittendon County in the senate.
