DuPage College Improvements Referendum (November 2010)
This measure was approved
- YES 142,343 (54.84%)
- NO 117,199 (45.16%)
This measure asked voters to approve this referendum which would allow the College to make capital improvements to the campus buildings, the library, arts center and gymnasium as the main projects. This will not increase taxes in the district area, but will just continue current school levies. School officials saw this as the best way to ensure the continued competitiveness of the school and maintain the level of programs for students.
The College of DuPage Annuitants Association Board of Directors had come out in support of this measure, noting that the College has a good track record of providing classes and support for students and this should be encouraged to continue.
